## India Advances to Semi-Finals
In a thrilling match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, India defeated West Indies by five wickets to secure a place in the T20 World Cup semi-finals. The victory was largely thanks to Sanju Samson's outstanding performance, scoring an unbeaten 97 runs. India will face England in the semi-finals on Thursday.
## Samson's Stellar Performance
Chasing a target of 196, Samson's innings was a mix of aggression and skill, featuring 12 boundaries and four sixes. Despite falling just three runs short of a century, his efforts ensured India crossed the finish line with four balls remaining. Tilak Varma also contributed with a quick 27 off 15 balls.
## West Indies' Strong Start
West Indies set a challenging total of 195-4 after being put to bat first. Jason Holder and Rovman Powell were instrumental in the last five overs, adding 70 runs to the scoreboard. The team made a strategic change by promoting Roston Chase to open, which allowed them to include an extra spinner.
## Key Moments in the Match
Varun Chakravarthy provided India with their first breakthrough, dismissing Shai Hope for 32. Jasprit Bumrah then took two crucial wickets, including that of Chase, who scored 40.
