## Investment Opportunity in UAE's Retail T-Sukuk
The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced the launch of its second Sovereign Retail T-Sukuk, offering a 5.06% annual profit rate. This five-year, Shariah-compliant investment opportunity is open to UAE citizens and residents, with a minimum investment requirement of Dh1,000.
## Subscription Details
Subscriptions for the T-Sukuk will be open from September 23 to 28, with an issuance target of Dh50 million. Investors will receive profit distributions twice a year. The sukuk will be issued on September 30, and trading is set to commence on Nasdaq Dubai on October 1.
## How to Invest
Interested retail investors must obtain an Investor Number (NIN) before subscribing. Applications can be submitted through the DFM eIPO platform, iVestor app, DFM app, and participating banks' digital channels. Emirates NBD is the lead receiving bank, with several other banks also accepting subscriptions.
## Financial Implications
The 5.06% profit rate is higher than the previous 4.30% offered on the first issuance, reflecting current market conditions. For example, a Dh10,000 investment would yield Dh506 annually, or Dh253 every six months, over the five-year period.
## Strategic Goals
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Finance's strategy to enhance the UAE's dirham-denominated capital markets and expand the domestic investor base. The digital subscription process aims to streamline investor participation from initial application to secondary-market trading.
