Funeral prayer for Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid to be held on Tuesday

## Funeral Details

The funeral prayer for Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is set to take place at Zabeel Grand Mosque in Dubai on Tuesday at 1pm. Sheikh Ahmed, who passed away on Monday at the age of 76, was the younger brother of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

## Condolence Arrangements

Condolences will be received at Zabeel Majlis for three days, starting on Tuesday from 4pm until Maghrib prayers. On Wednesday and Thursday, mourners can visit during two periods: from 10am until Dhuhr prayers, and from after Asr prayers until Maghrib prayers.

## Mourning Period

Following Sheikh Ahmed's passing, the Dubai Ruler’s Court declared a 10-day mourning period in the emirate, beginning on Monday, September 21. During this time, flags will be flown at half-mast.
