Indian shooter Manu Bhaker, chosen as the flag-bearer for India at the 2026 Asian Games opening ceremony, faced unexpected wardrobe issues. The ceremonial outfit provided to her did not fit correctly, with both the jacket and shoes being the wrong sizes.

## Borrowed Kit Solution

To resolve the issue, Bhaker borrowed a ceremonial kit from a masseuse associated with the shooting team. This allowed her to lead the Indian contingent at the ceremony in Nagoya, alongside Pawan Sehrawat.

## Focus on Competition

Despite the wardrobe hiccup, Bhaker's primary focus remains on her shooting events. Her campaign at the Asian Games begins with the women's 10m air pistol qualification on September 23, followed by participation in the 10m air pistol mixed team event on September 25. She will also compete in the women's 25m pistol events on September 27 and 28.

## Previous Achievements

Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics, was also part of India's gold-medal-winning team in the women's 25m pistol event at the 2022 Asian Games.
