The film tells the tale of a friendly supernatural being who forms a bond with three children after they save him from a sorcerer's spell. The production, led by Navodaya Studios, involved extensive research into 3D filmmaking, with Punnoose traveling to the United States to study the technology.

Creating a 3D film in the 1980s posed numerous challenges. The team used an ARRI Model IIC camera and had to prepare cinemas with special lenses and imported polaroid 3D glasses. Filming took about 90 days, longer than typical Malayalam productions of the time.

## Iconic Scenes

One of the film's standout moments features a rotating set, allowing characters to appear as if they are walking on walls. This sequence, part of a song composed by Ilaiyaraaja, took 14 days to complete.
