## Successful Satellite Launch

China has successfully launched nine satellites into space from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China. The launch took place at 12:03 on September 20, Beijing Time, using a Lijian-1 Y18 carrier rocket. All satellites have reached their designated orbits.

## Purpose and Mission

The satellites are intended for various purposes, including monitoring the space environment, disaster prevention and mitigation, and conducting scientific experiments. This mission marks the 17th flight of the Lijian rocket series, which has previously launched one spacecraft and 121 satellites into orbit.

## Future Plans

Developed by CAS Space, the Lijian series has a total payload mass in orbit exceeding 21 tonnes. The launch schedule for the Lijian-1 carrier rocket is confirmed through late 2027, indicating ongoing advancements in China's commercial spaceflight capabilities.
