Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has initiated a project to increase the planting of flame trees throughout the city. This effort aims to enhance the greenery in streets, residential areas, parks, and recreational spaces.

## Benefits of Flame Trees

Known for their vibrant orange blossoms and wide canopy, flame trees are well-suited to Dubai's climate. They provide significant shade, reducing ground temperatures by about five degrees Celsius. These trees can grow up to 12 meters tall and live for around 60 years.

## Community Involvement

Residents interested in contributing to this greening initiative can obtain seedlings for planting in their homes or farms. The project is supported by Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Future Foundation, emphasizing community participation in environmental enhancement.
