Philippine Secretary of National Defense, Gilberto Teodoro, met with UAE's non-resident attaché to the Philippines, Colonel Ahmed Saeed Ali Alramli Alketbi, in Manila. The meeting also included UAE Ambassador Mohamed Obaid Alzaabi and Counsellor Musabbeh Said Humaid Binsumait Al Ali.

## Focus on Regional Security

The talks addressed the complex security landscape in the Middle East, highlighting the need for cooperation and open dialogue. Teodoro stressed the importance of collective resilience and cooperation to support peace and stability in the region.

## Defence Cooperation Agreement

The discussions followed a memorandum of understanding on defence cooperation signed earlier this year during Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s visit to the UAE. This agreement outlines collaboration in military education, training, and defence industry partnerships.

Both nations are committed to implementing this agreement, aiming to enhance practical cooperation in defence training, education, and industry, while maintaining dialogue on broader security issues.
