Abu Dhabi is set to significantly expand its Al Ghad Nurseries, aiming to increase capacity to 12,000 seats by 2029. This initiative, led by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), will enhance access to early childhood education for Emirati children.

## Focus on Early Education

The expansion targets children aged two to four, offering an education rooted in Arabic language and Emirati culture. The program is designed to support cognitive, social, and emotional development during critical early years.

## Phased Implementation

The expansion will occur in three phases, prioritizing areas with high concentrations of Emirati children, including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. This approach aims to broaden access to quality early education across the emirate.

## Affordable Education

Families can enroll their children for a nominal fee of Dh800 per month. There are exemptions for low-income families, children needing additional support, and families with multiple children.

## Employment Opportunities

The expansion will also create over 1,000 new career opportunities for Emirati women in early childhood education. This aligns with ADEK's goals to reinforce Arabic language and UAE values in educational settings.
