## New Investment Opportunity for UAE Residents
The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced the launch of a second five-year retail T-Sukuk, following the success of its initial offering. This Shariah-compliant investment is backed by the UAE Government and aims to provide individual investors with access to government debt instruments.
## Strong Demand for Initial Offering
The first retail T-Sukuk attracted significant interest, with orders reaching Dh445 million, nearly nine times the initial target of Dh50 million. Due to this high demand, the offering size was doubled to Dh100 million.
## Accessible Investment
The new sukuk maintains a minimum subscription of Dh1,000, making it accessible to smaller investors. The profit rate for this issuance will be announced on September 22.
## Eligibility and Application Process
Both UAE nationals and residents are eligible to apply. The Ministry of Finance is encouraging broader participation in sovereign debt instruments. In the first issuance, 76% of investors subscribed with Dh10,000 or less, and 72% of subscribers were UAE nationals.
Applications can be made through the Dubai Financial Market's eIPO platform, the iVestor app, the DFM app, and digital channels of participating banks. Emirates NBD is the lead receiving bank, with several others participating.
## Trading and Liquidity
Once the subscription period ends, the sukuk will be listed on Nasdaq Dubai, allowing investors to trade their holdings on the secondary market if they need liquidity before the five-year term concludes.
