Emirates’ move to new passenger terminal at DWC on track for 2032

## Phased Transition to DWC

Emirates is set to relocate its passenger operations to the new terminal at Dubai World Central (DWC) by 2032. The move will occur in stages, with significant investments from Dubai South to support the transition. Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, confirmed that the project is progressing as planned.

## Focus on Cargo Operations

The development of DWC includes a major focus on cargo operations. A $5.1 billion engineering complex is being constructed to serve as a state-of-the-art maintenance and repair facility. This will enhance Emirates SkyCargo's capabilities, positioning DWC as a central hub for global freight operations.

## Strong Winter Outlook

Despite challenges earlier in the year, Emirates anticipates a positive winter season. The airline reported a seat load factor of 75% over the summer, with strong demand across various regions including Europe, the UK, and the Americas. Dubai's busy autumn schedule is expected to further boost passenger numbers.

## Expansion of Premium Economy

Emirates is expanding its Premium Economy offerings, with new features such as electrically powered seats and privacy screens. The airline has retrofitted 104 aircraft with these upgrades, aiming to reach 155 by the end of the year. Premium Economy is now available on flights to 90 destinations, with more to be added soon.

## Fleet and Network Growth

Since January, Emirates has added 18 new aircraft to its fleet, including A350s and Boeing 777 freighters. The A350 is currently serving 30 destinations, with plans to expand to 36 by year-end. New routes and increased frequencies are also in the pipeline, enhancing connectivity from Dubai.

Looking ahead, Emirates plans to continue evolving its passenger experience with new aircraft, upgraded lounges, and advanced connectivity solutions. The airline remains committed to maintaining its competitive edge through continuous investment in its infrastructure and services.
