## Official Response

Pro Ref, the organization overseeing referees, acknowledged the oversight, stating that Fernandez's position could have influenced the play, and an on-field review should have been recommended. Despite this, Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the season, even after playing much of the match with ten men following Phil Foden's early dismissal.
