The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) reported a 79% increase in the number of criminal cases resolved on the same day during the first half of 2026 compared to the previous year. This improvement highlights the department's efforts to streamline procedures and align with international standards.

## High Completion Rates Across Courts

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Claims Court achieved a 99% completion rate for 11,305 claims. The Commercial Court completed 9,176 claims with a 98% rate, while the Labour Court processed 1,958 claims at a 97% rate. These figures demonstrate the efficiency and quality of the judicial system.

## Regional Performance

Abu Dhabi courts maintained a 98% completion rate, matching Al Ain, while Al Dhafra courts achieved a 99% rate. This consistency underscores the effectiveness of judicial practices across the emirate.

## Efforts to Expedite Criminal Cases

The Public Prosecution issued 4,014 penal orders as part of a system designed to accelerate case processing while ensuring accuracy and quality. This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance the performance and competitiveness of the justice system.
