For example, on Al Nahda Road, the posted speed is 80 km/h, but the radar activates at 101 km/h. Similarly, Sheikh Zayed Road has a posted limit of 100 km/h or 120 km/h, with radar control at 121 km/h or 141 km/h, depending on the section.

## Penalties for Speeding

Exceeding the speed limit by over 80 km/h results in a Dh3,000 fine, 23 black points, and a 60-day vehicle impoundment. Lesser violations incur smaller fines and penalties, such as Dh700 for exceeding by up to 40 km/h.
