UAE launches nationwide Ramadan drive to support workers with Iftar and food aid

## Nationwide Ramadan Initiative

The UAE has initiated a nationwide campaign to provide Iftar meals and food supplies to workers during Ramadan. This effort, led by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), aims to enhance the wellbeing and happiness of workers throughout the holy month.

## Collaborative Effort

The campaign, titled "Ramadan Brings Us Together with Our Workers," is a collaborative effort involving the Emirates Red Crescent, Beit Al Khair Society, the UAE Food Bank, and Al Ansari Exchange. Dalal Al Shehhi from MoHRE highlighted the initiative as a reflection of the UAE's values of compassion and generosity, emphasizing the importance of social cohesion and community engagement.

## Ramadan Tents and Meal Distribution

Three Ramadan tents will be set up across the UAE to host collective Iftar gatherings, organized with the Emirates Red Crescent and Beit Al Khair Society. These tents aim to create a welcoming environment for workers to share meals in a spiritual setting. Additionally, the campaign will distribute Iftar meals at workplaces and accommodations, ensuring support reaches workers wherever they are.

## Commitment to Worker Wellbeing

The initiative underscores the UAE's commitment to worker wellbeing and social inclusion, reinforcing a sense of belonging and appreciation for their contributions to the country's development. The campaign will run throughout Ramadan, with daily meal distributions and thousands of food parcels provided to workers, embodying the spirit of solidarity and compassion.
