## New Payment System for Creators

Roblox, the popular gaming platform, is set to launch a digital wallet aimed at expediting payments to creators. Announced at their annual developer conference in San Jose, California, this feature is part of Roblox's strategy to attract more players and retain its creator community.

## How It Works

Currently, creators must manually convert their earnings from Robux, the platform's virtual currency, into real money, which involves a lengthy process. The new "Roblox Wallet" will automate this, allowing creators to receive daily payments directly into their bank accounts. Initially available in December for adult creators in the U.S., the wallet will expand internationally in 2027, alongside a new payment card.

## Off-Platform Gaming

Roblox plans to enable users to launch games directly from web browsers, bypassing the app. This will allow creators to distribute their games as standalone apps across various devices, including mobile and consoles. An offline mode is also in development.

## Safety and Regulations

Roblox faces scrutiny over children's safety on its platform. Recent regulatory actions include an inquiry by U.S. senators and lawsuits from several states. The European Commission has also classified Roblox under its strictest digital services regulations due to its market size.

## Future Prospects

Roblox is exploring artificial intelligence to enhance game creation. Their AI tool, currently tested in Serbia and Singapore, allows users to generate games from written descriptions. CEO David Baszucki aims to capture a significant share of the global video game market, with the next earnings report expected at the end of October.
