Watch: Teen found alive after clinging to capsized boat for 3 days

## Rescue in the Bering Sea

A 15-year-old boy was found alive after clinging to an overturned skiff for nearly three days in Alaska's Bering Sea. The dramatic rescue was captured on video as a fishing crew pulled the hypothermic teen to safety near St. Lawrence Island.

## Tragic Loss

The boy's brother and cousin, who were with him when the boat capsized, did not survive. Their bodies were discovered after the boy was rescued. The group had set out from St. Lawrence Island on Friday, intending to return by Sunday.

## Search and Rescue Operation

The U.S. Coast Guard initiated a search on Monday morning after the family reported the trio missing. A Coast Guard air crew eventually spotted the boy, providing him with a raft and supplies before alerting the fishing vessel, The Northwest Explorer.

## Survival Against the Odds

The boy was found wearing a bright yellow jacket, kneeling on the overturned skiff. The fishing crew used a line to pull him closer and lifted him into a rescue basket. Despite suffering from hypothermia, he was warmed with blankets and hot packs once aboard the vessel.

## A Harrowing Experience

According to the fishing boat's captain, Adam White, the boy mentioned that his brother was still under the skiff and that his cousin had disappeared the night before the rescue. The Coast Guard has not released the names of the individuals involved.
