## Morning Commute Challenges
Commuters traveling between Dubai and Sharjah faced significant delays on Thursday morning. Heavy congestion was reported on major routes, particularly on E311 and E11, causing a slow start to the day.
## Key Areas Affected
The Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) experienced severe traffic jams, especially near the Jumeirah Village Circle interchange. Vehicles merging from Jumeirah Village Triangle and Dubai Sports City were moving slowly. Additionally, the D63 route from Al Barsha South to the Saheel/Arabian Ranches roundabout was heavily congested.
Traffic issues extended into Sharjah, particularly around Muwaileh Commercial and the industrial areas near the University of Sharjah. An incident in this area added to the delays.
## Business Bay to Nad Al Sheba
Traffic was also backed up at the Business Bay/Al Khail Road (E44) interchange, affecting the flow towards Al Jadaf on E66. Congestion continued through Ras Al Khor and into Nad Al Sheba, with another hotspot near Al Qouz Fourth.
## Al Ittihad Road and Airport Area
Al Ittihad Road (E11) saw heavy traffic through Deira, Abu Hail, and Al Qusais, particularly around Dubai International Airport. The cargo area near 5th Street and Al Garhoud was notably congested.
## Border Crossing Issues
The Dubai and Sharjah border crossing, especially around Al Nahda Park and Al Mamzer Beach interchange, was a major bottleneck. Traffic feeding into Sharjah's industrial zones was also heavy.
## Advice for Motorists
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time and consider alternative routes, especially around the E311/D63 stretch near Al Barsha, the Business Bay to Ras Al Khor corridor, and the E11 crossing between Dubai and Sharjah.
