## Dramatic Victory in Ahmedabad

Nineteen-year-old para archer Sheetal Devi secured a gold medal at the World Archery Para Series 2026 in Ahmedabad. She triumphed in the women's compound event against Kazakhstan's Aizada Seidan. The match was intense, ending in a 144-144 tie, leading to a shoot-off. Sheetal delivered a flawless 10, while Seidan scored a nine, sealing the victory for India.

## India's Medal Success

India concluded the competition with a total of 15 medals, including four golds. Sheetal also excelled in the compound mixed team event with Rakesh Kumar, setting a new world record of 1,400 points in qualification. They later won bronze with Toman Kumar after defeating Iraq.

## Additional Achievements

Bhawna and Harvinder Singh added another gold in the recurve mixed team event, defeating China. Bhawna also earned a bronze in the women's individual recurve. Toman Kumar secured bronze in the men's individual compound, and teamed with Shyam Sunder Swami to win gold in the compound men's doubles. Harvinder Singh and Vijay Sundi also claimed gold in the recurve men's doubles.
