## Heritage Workshops and Activities

Throughout September, Al Ain Museum is offering a variety of heritage workshops and activities for schoolchildren and families. These events aim to blend Emirati traditions with creative pursuits, including traditional crafts, doll-making, and archaeological discussions.

## Back to School Program

Running until October 1, the Back to School initiative allows students to customize school supplies using traditional Emirati crafts like Talli and Sadu. Participants can decorate notebooks, pencils, and rulers, and enjoy a themed photo booth for a memorable experience.

## Special Workshops

On September 12, families can join a doll-making workshop to create heritage-inspired dolls and learn about traditional Emirati attire. Another workshop, "Threads That Weave a Tale," is scheduled for September 19, where participants will embellish historical photographs with embroidery and patterns.

## Creative Activities

Visitors can personalize hairbrushes on September 11 and 18, and decorate medkhans and money banks on September 25. These activities offer a fun way to engage with Emirati culture.

## Archaeological Insights

On September 17, Dr. Maria Pellegrino will lead a Museum Talks session exploring Al Ain's transition from the Wadi Suq period to the Iron Age, providing insights into the region's ancient history.

## Conservator in Action

Every Friday morning, the Conservator in Action program allows visitors to observe specialists preserving museum artefacts. In the afternoon, Family Friday offers tours, workshops, and family-friendly activities like reading circles or film screenings.
