## Incident at Women's Asia Cup
Pakistan's wicketkeeper, Gull Feroza, has been fined for showing dissent during the Women's Asia Cup 2026. The incident occurred during a match against Hong Kong when Feroza was dismissed LBW. Despite her belief that she had edged the ball, the absence of DRS meant she had to accept the umpire's decision.
## Breach of Conduct
Feroza's reaction, which involved gesturing to her bat, was deemed a breach of Article 2.8 of the ICC's code of conduct. As a result, she was fined 10% of her match fee and received a demerit point. This marks her second offense within two years, leading to a total of two demerit points on her record.
## Pakistan's Performance
Despite Feroza's struggles, Pakistan secured a place in the semifinals after defeating Hong Kong. The team is set to face Sri Lanka, the defending champions, on September 11. The match is crucial as Pakistan aims to win their first Women's Asia Cup title.
