Etihad launches flights to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast

## New Flight Route to Red Sea

Etihad Airways is set to launch flights to Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast starting October 4, 2026. This new route will operate via the Red Sea International Airport in Tabuk Province, making it accessible from Abu Dhabi in just over three hours.

## Year-Round Access

The addition of this destination allows travelers from across Etihad's network, including the Gulf and Indian subcontinent, to reach the Red Sea with a single connection through Abu Dhabi. This marks Etihad's sixth destination in Saudi Arabia, joining Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Medina, and Al Qassim.

## Increased Flight Frequency

Initially, the service will run once a week, with plans to increase to twice weekly starting October 25, 2026. Etihad's CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, highlighted the convenience of this route, offering a short flight option for those seeking island and reef holidays typically requiring long-haul travel.
