Why Ronaldo is not in Ballon d'Or list but Saudi Pro League stars Mane and Quinones are

## Ronaldo's Absence from Ballon d'Or Nominations

Cristiano Ronaldo, despite a successful season with Al Nassr, did not make the Ballon d'Or shortlist. At 41, his omission might not be shocking, especially after an average World Cup performance. Ronaldo scored 28 goals in the Saudi Pro League and helped his team secure the title, but it wasn't enough to earn a nomination.

## Mane's Achievements

Sadio Mane, Ronaldo's teammate at Al Nassr, made the list due to his impressive performances both in the Saudi Pro League and internationally. Mane scored 10 goals and provided six assists in the league. His standout achievement was being named Player of the Tournament at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he helped Senegal reach the final.

## Quinones' Stellar Season

Julian Quinones, playing for Al Qadsiah, also secured a spot on the shortlist. He outperformed Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 33 goals and winning the Golden Boot. Quinones also had a notable World Cup, scoring four goals for Mexico, contributing to their historic knockout stage victory.

## Ronaldo's Impressive Stats

Ronaldo's season was still remarkable, with 28 league goals and three World Cup goals for Portugal. However, the competition from Mane and Quinones, who had significant international achievements, overshadowed his efforts. The presence of these players in the shortlist highlights the growing recognition of the Saudi Pro League's talent.
