Dubai launches ‘Click and Travel’ to speed up airport checks

## New Mobile Immigration Service

Dubai has launched a new mobile immigration service called 'Click and Travel' to expedite airport procedures. This initiative, introduced by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai, aims to reduce passenger processing times to just 12 to 15 seconds.

## Advanced Biometric Technology

The service utilizes advanced biometric technologies, including fingerprint scanning and facial recognition, combined with electronic passport reading. This integration allows for quick access to passenger information, streamlining the immigration process significantly.

## Successful Pilot Phase

During its pilot phase, which began in October 2025, the service processed over 31,000 passengers. Initially tested at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, it expanded to all terminals by May 2026, proving its efficiency and readiness for broader implementation.

## Flexible and Efficient

Unlike traditional fixed-counter systems, 'Click and Travel' allows officers to move freely through airport halls, providing flexibility in managing passenger flows, especially during peak times. This mobile approach enhances the ability to handle congestion and emergencies effectively.

## Available to All Travelers

The service is accessible to UAE citizens, residents, GCC nationals, and visitors, supporting Dubai's commitment to integrating smart solutions in its airports.
