UAE recalls 5,612 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles over fire risk

## Recall Details

The UAE has initiated a recall of 5,612 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models from the years 2021 to 2025. The recall is due to a potential electrical fault in the electro-hydraulic power steering pump (EHPSP) that could lead to a fire risk.

## Safety Concerns

The issue involves the electrical connection to the EHPSP, which may develop increased electrical resistance. This can result in a loss of power-steering assistance and, in some cases, generate enough heat to ignite nearby materials, posing a fire hazard.

## Dealer and Ministry Involvement

Trading Enterprises, the authorized Jeep dealer in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, is managing the recall in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism. The ministry oversees product recalls to ensure consumer safety.

## Inspection and Repair

Affected Jeep owners will be contacted to bring their vehicles to authorized service centers for inspection. The process includes checking and potentially replacing the EHPSP and related components. All repairs will be conducted at no cost to the vehicle owners.
