UAE sets new registration rules for students of determination for 2026–27

## New Framework for Inclusive Education

The UAE Ministry of Education has announced updated registration procedures for Students of Determination in public schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. These changes aim to enhance inclusive education by ensuring timely and accurate assessments.

## Assessment and Registration Process

Evaluations will be conducted at Inclusive Education Support Centres and must be completed within 15 working days. Parents are required to disclose their child's condition during registration. Failure to do so may result in the Ministry taking necessary actions, such as referring the student to a specialized center.

## Application Requirements

Parents must apply through the Ministry's website or the MOE UAE app. They are also required to attend scheduled assessments. Missing appointments or failing to comply with procedures will lead to automatic closure of the application.

## Documentation Needed

The registration process requires several documents, including a recent medical report, an Individualised Education Plan for students transferring from private schools, and a psychological report. These documents ensure that each student receives the necessary support.

## Commitment to Inclusive Education

The Ministry emphasizes that evaluation results are final for the academic year, ensuring stability and proper placement for students. The updated procedures reflect a commitment to providing equitable and sustainable educational services.
