Ajman Civil Defence honors boy, 9, for helping stop house fire

## Young Hero in Ajman

A nine-year-old boy from Ajman, Rashid Abdullah Al Hosani, has been recognized by the Ajman Civil Defence for his bravery in preventing a house fire from spreading. Rashid's quick actions, alongside his grandmother, helped contain the blaze at their home.

## Swift Response

When the fire broke out, Rashid immediately soaked a blanket in water and, with his grandmother's help, managed to extinguish the flames. This prompt response prevented the fire from causing more damage.

## Recognition and Education

In appreciation of his actions, Rashid was invited to the Civil Defence headquarters, where he received an award. He was also given a tour of the facilities, learning about firefighting equipment and safety procedures.

## Importance of Safety Awareness

Officials emphasized the role of safety education programs in schools, which equip students with the knowledge to handle emergencies effectively. However, they advised that children should always alert an adult and contact emergency services rather than attempting to fight fires themselves.
