## Gold Prices Rise in UAE
Gold prices in the UAE have seen a notable increase, with the 24-karat gold price reaching Dh532 per gram as of September 3, 2026. This marks a Dh10 rise over three days, starting from Dh522 at the beginning of September. The 22-karat gold also climbed to Dh492.50 from Dh483.25 during the same period.
## Global Market Influences
The rise in UAE gold prices aligns with a global recovery in gold markets. Internationally, gold prices rebounded above $4,400 per ounce after dipping to around $4,285. This recovery follows a correction from a peak of nearly $4,700 in late August, influenced by expectations of higher US interest rates.
## Economic Factors
The recovery in gold prices is supported by a decrease in US Treasury yields and a weaker dollar. Additionally, weaker US private-sector employment data, which showed a lower-than-expected job increase in August, has contributed to the supportive environment for gold.
## Geopolitical and Economic Outlook
Geopolitical tensions, particularly involving the US and Iran, continue to impact gold prices. While these tensions can increase demand for gold as a safe haven, they also contribute to inflation expectations, influencing US interest rates. The future direction of gold prices will depend on upcoming US employment and inflation data, as well as Federal Reserve signals.
## Long-term Demand
Central banks and investment demand continue to support gold prices. Central banks purchased a significant amount of gold in the second quarter, and global gold exchange-traded funds saw inflows in July. These factors, along with concerns over US public debt, provide a positive outlook for gold in the medium term.
