Dubai evening traffic alert: Heavy congestion builds on key roads towards Sharjah

## Traffic Congestion on Key Routes

Motorists in Dubai are experiencing significant delays on their Wednesday evening commute, particularly on routes heading towards Sharjah. Key roads such as Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), Al Khail Road (E44), and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) are heavily congested.

## Areas of Concern

On Sheikh Zayed Road, traffic is slow-moving near Jumeirah Lakes Towers and before the Third Interchange, with further delays reported around Defence Roundabout due to construction and accidents. The stretch from Garhoud to Sahara Centre is also experiencing heavy congestion.

Sheikh Rashid Road (D75) is facing slow traffic from Karama towards Bur Dubai, especially near its junction with E11. Similarly, D88 through Karama is affected.

## Al Khail Road and E311 Updates

Al Khail Road is seeing heavy traffic from Meydan Road towards Dubai Hills Estate, with accidents exacerbating the situation. Congestion is also noted near the Dubai Production City exit towards E311.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road is particularly slow from Al Warqa towards Sharjah's Industrial Area 15, with moderate congestion around Dubai Production City and Dubai South.

## Emirates Road and Other Areas

Traffic on Emirates Road (E611) is generally smooth, though moderate delays are present around Al Awir and Tilal due to construction at Al Badia Interchange.

## Advice for Motorists

Drivers are advised to plan for extra travel time, maintain safe distances, and consider alternative routes to avoid the worst of the evening rush hour congestion.
