Filipino expat in UAE for 17 years wins Dh25,000 from Big Ticket Abu Dhabi

## A Lucky Win for a Long-Time Resident

Jay Michael Peralta Gines, a Filipino expatriate living in Abu Dhabi for 17 years, recently won Dh25,000 in the Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draw. The 43-year-old, originally from Luzon, Philippines, was surprised by a late-night call informing him of his win. Gines, who works in Operations Support, had been participating in the draw since 2023 with a group of eight people.

## Special Numbers Lead to Success

Gines chose his winning numbers based on significant dates in his life, including his wife's birthday, their anniversary, and his birth month. He believes these meaningful numbers played a role in his success and plans to continue participating in the draw.

## Other Winners from the Region

The draw also saw wins for other expatriates in the UAE. Binod Sebastian, a nurse from Kerala, India, and two Bangladeshi expatriates, Kamrul Idrish Miah and Mohammed Mamun, each won Dh25,000. Sebastian, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for ten years, was part of a group of five that regularly participates in the draw. Miah, a driver in Al Ain, and Mamun, a businessman in Ajman, both expressed disbelief and joy upon learning of their wins.

## Encouragement for Future Participants

All winners expressed their intention to keep participating in the Big Ticket draws and encouraged others to remain hopeful and persistent. They believe that everyone has a chance to win and that perseverance can lead to unexpected success.
