UAE heat tops 50°C as Bada Dafas records country’s highest temperature

## Record Temperatures in UAE

The UAE recently experienced extreme heat, with temperatures surpassing 50°C. Bada Dafas in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafrah region recorded the highest temperature at 50.1°C, as reported by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

## Other High Temperature Readings

Several other locations in the UAE also faced soaring temperatures. Owtaid reached 48.9°C, Al Mirfa recorded 48.5°C, and both Al Jazeera B.G. and Mezaira hit 48.4°C. The NCM's temperature map indicated widespread readings above 45°C in inland and western areas.

## Seasonal Transition

Despite the intense heat, the UAE is moving towards a seasonal transition as August ends. This period typically marks a gradual change in weather conditions, although the current high temperatures suggest that summer heat can persist well into late August.

## Monitoring and Forecasting

The NCM continues to monitor weather conditions closely, providing forecasts and warnings as necessary. Their live radar network remains active to keep track of developments across the country.
