## Rising Death Toll and Missing Persons
The devastating floods affecting the border region between Nepal and Tibet have resulted in 691 confirmed deaths, with nearly 3,000 individuals still unaccounted for. Nepal has reported 2,426 missing persons, including many foreigners, while Tibet's figures include 546 missing and 16 fatalities.
## Rescue Efforts Underway
Rescue operations are ongoing, with more than 100 workers trapped in hydropower tunnels. The Nepali army has managed to provide air to some trapped individuals at the Trishuli 3A hydroelectric site. India and China have dispatched specialized teams to assist in the rescue efforts.
