Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Abbas has reached a significant career milestone by taking his 900th first-class wicket. This achievement came during the second Test against England at Lord's, where Abbas delivered an impressive performance.

## Impressive Performance at Lord's

On the first day of the Test, Abbas dismissed Emilio Gay and Ben Duckett, reaching the 900-wicket mark. He continued to excel, ending the day with figures of 4 for 56 in 15 overs, including three maidens.

## Elite Company

Abbas's achievement places him fifth among the top first-class wicket-takers of the 21st century. He follows James Anderson, Simon Harmer, Malinda Pushpakumara, and Tim Murtagh in this elite group.

## Career Highlights

The 36-year-old has played 222 first-class matches, boasting 57 five-wicket hauls and an average just over 20. Despite his success in first-class cricket, Abbas has limited experience in limited overs formats, having played only three ODIs for Pakistan.
