## Discovery of Illegal Manufacturing Facility

Authorities uncovered a fully operational facility dedicated to producing Lyrica, a medication known for its use in treating nerve pain. The facility was equipped with machinery for filling and packaging capsules, highlighting the scale of the operation.

## Government's Anti-Drug Strategy

Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al Yousef Al Sabah emphasized that combating drug trafficking remains a top priority for the Ministry. Efforts are focused on disrupting supply networks, enhancing surveillance, and strengthening enforcement measures.

## Focus on Prevention and Rehabilitation

The Kuwaiti government is also prioritizing prevention and rehabilitation. A specialized treatment center for women with drug addiction has been established, and plans are underway to expand treatment facilities. Families are encouraged to seek help for relatives struggling with addiction, with assurances of confidentiality and no criminal record for voluntary treatment.

Sheikh Fahad stressed that the fight against drugs is a shared responsibility among government bodies, private sectors, and civil society. The Ministry of Interior is committed to collaborating with other institutions to combat drug trafficking and raise public awareness.
