Saudi Arabia forecasts rain through Saturday, with heavy downpours in some areas

## Weather Forecast

Saudi Arabia is set to experience significant rainfall from Wednesday through Saturday, particularly affecting the western and southwestern regions. The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) predicts moderate to heavy downpours in these areas.

## Rainfall Patterns

The rain is expected to start along the western coast, from north of Jazan to Taif in the Mecca region, intensifying as the day progresses. Meanwhile, showers in Najran and the Eastern Province are anticipated to weaken.

By Thursday, light to moderate rain is forecast south of Asir, with lighter showers around Taif and isolated areas in Najran and the southern Eastern Province. The western coast will likely see stronger rainfall later in the afternoon.

## Northern Regions

Scattered light rain could develop over Tabuk, Al Jouf, and the Northern Borders by early evening on Thursday, but conditions are expected to dry up later at night.

## Weekend Outlook

Rain is projected to return to northern Saudi Arabia late on Friday, with light showers over Tabuk, Al Jouf, the Northern Borders, and parts of Medina. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also expected around Taif and Abha in Asir.

Most of the rain is expected to ease by early Saturday, though isolated showers may persist in the Northern Borders and Hail. Rain could redevelop in some areas during the afternoon before clearing later in the evening.
