RTA completes traffic upgrades at six school zones across Dubai

## Traffic Improvements Completed

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has finalized traffic upgrades at six school zones, benefiting over ten schools. These enhancements, executed during the summer break to minimize disruption, include a new road, additional parking, and improved access points.

## Key Locations and Upgrades

The upgraded zones include Wadi Al Safa 4, Al Barsha, Umm Al Sheif, Dubai Motor City, Dubai Studio City, and Al Sufouh. A new road now connects Al Qudra Road and Hessa Street, facilitating easier access to schools in Dubai Motor City and Dubai Studio City. In Umm Al Sheif, parking capacity for Horizon International School has been doubled.

## Access and Safety Enhancements

In Al Barsha South, the RTA restructured the service road entrances and exits. At The International School of Choueifat in Al Sufouh, traffic flow improvements were made. Near GEMS Winchester School in Wadi Al Safa 4, road upgrades and new safety measures were introduced to slow vehicles near school gates.

## Safety Guidelines for Drivers

The RTA urges drivers to adhere to safety rules, such as using designated pick-up and drop-off areas, stopping for school buses with warning signals, and respecting traffic signs. These measures aim to maintain a safe environment around schools.
