## Significant Growth in Trade

Dubai's non-oil trade with India has seen remarkable growth, more than doubling to Dh222.5 billion over the past decade. This increase represents a 136.2% rise from Dh94.2 billion in 2016. The trade volume also saw a 15% increase in 2025 alone.

## Impact of CEPA

The UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which began in May 2022, has played a crucial role in this growth. Since its implementation, Dubai's trade with India has grown by 35%, enhancing market access and reducing trade barriers.

## Investment and Business Expansion

Investment flows between Dubai and India have been significant. Dubai attracted Dh32.3 billion from India between 2016 and 2025, with Dh8.4 billion in foreign direct investment last year. Meanwhile, Dubai-based companies invested Dh34.1 billion in India, creating over 55,000 jobs.

## Indian Business Presence in Dubai

The number of Indian companies in Dubai has also increased. In the first half of 2026, 7,579 new Indian companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, bringing the total to 85,841 active members. This growth reflects the confidence of Indian businesses in Dubai's potential as a global hub.

## Future Prospects

Emerging technologies like Agentic AI and fintech are expected to further strengthen the economic ties between Dubai and India. Dubai Chambers is actively developing initiatives to support these sectors, offering opportunities for Indian tech companies to expand their operations in Dubai.
