Sharjah expands government payment options with Jaywan card across Tahseel

## Expanded Payment Options in Sharjah

Sharjah has broadened its government payment system by integrating the UAE's national payment card, Jaywan, into its Tahseel collection network. This expansion allows residents to make payments online, via a mobile app, or at any Tahseel service center, offering both remote and in-person transaction options.

## Aiming for Flexibility and Security

The Central Finance Department of Sharjah announced that this initiative aims to provide a more flexible and secure payment experience. By the middle of 2026, over 558 transactions had been completed using Jaywan since its first use in September 2025.

## Enhancing Digital Infrastructure

Huda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department, emphasized that the inclusion of Jaywan is not just an additional payment method but a significant enhancement to the diversity of national solutions. The department is committed to further developing Tahseel's capabilities to improve efficiency and meet evolving customer needs.

## Supporting Digital Transformation

This move is part of Sharjah's broader digital transformation strategy, integrating a locally developed payment solution into its government financial services, thereby strengthening the emirate's digital financial infrastructure.
