Commuters traveling between Dubai and Sharjah experienced significant delays on August 20, with heavy congestion reported on major routes E11 and E311. The morning rush hour saw particularly slow-moving traffic on E11, especially from Al Majaz and Al Khan towards Al Taawun, Sahara Centre, and Al Nahda.
