## Incident Overview

A Panama-flagged bulk carrier, MV Ocean Winner, sank off India's eastern coast while en route to Singapore from Paradip port in Odisha. The incident occurred approximately 700 kilometers east of Visakhapatnam.

## Rescue Efforts

The Indian navy and coast guard launched a joint rescue operation after receiving a distress alert. Two crew members were successfully rescued from life rafts with the help of a nearby vessel, MT Aisopos. A navy patrol aircraft and three coast guard vessels were deployed to assist in the search.

## Crew Details

The ship had 24 crew members on board, including 20 Chinese nationals, three from Myanmar, and one Bangladeshi. The nationalities of the two rescued individuals have not been disclosed.

## Current Status

Efforts continue to locate the remaining 22 missing crew members as rescue teams scour the area.
