## Cultural Landscapes Documentation Training

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has initiated the application process for LanD 2027, a training program aimed at documenting cultural landscapes in the MENA region. This initiative is the first of its kind in the area, focusing on the holistic documentation of cultural landscapes as dynamic systems.

## Program Details

LanD 2027 is organized in collaboration with the CHEDAR project, ICOMOS International Scientific Committees, and the International Union for Conservation of Nature, among others. The program will select 20 heritage professionals from the MENA region to participate in both online courses and on-site training in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, from April 26 to May 5, 2027.

## Training Objectives

The training aims to enhance participants' skills in documenting cultural landscapes using integrated approaches that combine traditional knowledge with modern technology. It will address the complexities of cultural landscapes by considering their tangible and intangible aspects.

## Eligibility and Application

Eligible candidates are early to mid-career professionals with a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in fields such as architecture, archaeology, and heritage management. Applications are open until October 15, 2026, and further details are available on the DCT Abu Dhabi website.
