The 13th edition of the Nad Al Sheba Wheelchair Basketball Tournament began with great enthusiasm at the Dubai Club for People of Determination. The event, which features ten teams, is structured in a round-robin format, with the top teams advancing to the semi-finals.

## Opening Matches

Defending champions, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, started their campaign with a decisive 30-19 win against Swank Development. Zid Alm, who led the team to victory last year, expressed his hopes for another successful season. H. Saeed, a former Iranian national player, was the top scorer for the team.

Other matches on the opening day saw Dubai Municipality defeating the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship 39-16, Dubai Courts winning 31-19 against the Roads and Transport Authority, and Dubai Police securing a 36-12 victory over the Department of Finance.

Majid Al Usaimi, CEO of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, highlighted the tournament's role in promoting inclusivity and providing a platform for athletes to compete on equal terms.
