## Incident Overview
A tragic accident occurred in Hyderabad when a luxury Aston Martin, allegedly driven by Lingamaneni Sanjush, struck and killed a 26-year-old woman named Bharathi Mukhi. The incident took place outside the Inorbit Mall on August 16. Bharathi, a retail worker, was crossing the road when the high-speed vehicle hit her, resulting in severe head injuries. She was taken to Apollo Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
## Legal Proceedings
Sanjush, the 21-year-old son of a Rajya Sabha MP, has been booked under a bailable offense for causing death by negligence. The police have served him with a notice but have not arrested him, as the charge carries a maximum penalty of less than seven years. The vehicle involved is registered to Honor Prime Housing LLP, not Sanjush.
## Investigation Details
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash, including the speed and manner in which the car was driven. The case has sparked discussions on road safety and the influence of VIP privilege in legal proceedings. Police maintain that their handling of the case is by the book, with no procedural lapses.
## Background on Sanjush
Lingamaneni Sanjush is associated with two companies in the energy sector and studied computer science at the University of Texas at Dallas. His father, Lingamaneni Ramesh, is a member of the Jana Sena Party. The family has not publicly commented on the incident.
