Amanat sees UAE, Gulf healthcare, education as GCC growth engines as it lines up Dh1.5b investment

## Investment Strategy

Amanat Holdings, a Dubai-listed investment firm, is set to invest Dh1.5 billion over the next three years, focusing on healthcare and education sectors in the UAE and GCC. CEO John Ireland emphasizes the structural growth potential in these sectors, despite geopolitical uncertainties and rising living costs.

## Financial Performance

In the first half of 2026, Amanat reported a 24% increase in revenue to Dh582.5 million, with EBITDA rising 30% to Dh226.4 million and profits up 46% to Dh153.3 million. The company attributes this growth to increased patient volumes and student enrollments.

## Healthcare Expansion

Amanat's healthcare strategy includes expanding post-acute care and rehabilitation services, particularly through its Cambridge Health Group. Recent developments include increasing bed capacity at Cambridge Hospital Jeddah and opening a new facility in Al Khobar. The company plans to further expand in Riyadh with a 155-bed integrated healthcare facility.

## Education Growth

In education, Amanat's portfolio includes Middlesex University Dubai and Almasar Education. The education sector saw a 22% revenue increase to Dh347.2 million in H1 2026. The UAE's position as a global education hub is seen as a key advantage, with significant enrollment growth potential.

## Future Prospects

Amanat is also exploring international opportunities that align with its strategic and financial goals. The company plans to allocate Dh900 million for mergers and acquisitions and Dh500-600 million for new projects and service expansions. Technology, particularly AI, is viewed as a tool to enhance efficiency in both sectors.

## Shareholder Returns

Amanat aims to balance growth with shareholder returns, announcing a three-year dividend policy targeting a minimum annual cash distribution of 7 fils per share. An interim cash dividend of Dh75 million has already been declared for H1 2026.
