## Road Capacity and Travel Time Improvements
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed significant upgrades on Al Marabea’ Street in Al Quoz. The enhancements have increased the road's capacity by 30% and reduced travel times by up to 30% during peak hours. This project covers a 1.1-kilometer stretch between the Al Khail Road exit and Al Asayel Street.
## Intersection and Safety Enhancements
The improvements include widening an intersection and adding a new lane for vehicles heading from Al Marabea’ Street to Street 16A. These changes have cut traffic congestion at the intersection by 50%. Additionally, new lighting poles have been installed to enhance visibility and safety for nighttime driving.
## Strategic Importance and Future Plans
Al Marabea’ Street is a crucial route connecting Al Khail Road with Al Asayel Street, serving industrial, commercial, and residential areas. The upgrades are part of a broader RTA initiative to enhance Dubai's road infrastructure. Further developments on Al Marabea’ Street are underway, including a new service road and pedestrian walkway, with completion expected by the end of August 2026.
