## Crackdown on Illegal Recruitment
The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has taken decisive action against illegal domestic worker recruitment by closing 12 offices operating without proper licenses. These cases have been forwarded to the Public Prosecution, with the ministry working closely with economic development authorities across the country.
## Violations and Enforcement
In 2025, the ministry identified 300 violations among 57 licensed recruitment offices, highlighting a comprehensive enforcement effort to address breaches in the sector. The ministry emphasized its commitment to tackling legal and administrative violations through robust inspection and monitoring systems.
## Public Advisory
Authorities are urging the public to engage only with the 136 licensed domestic worker recruitment centers in the UAE. They also encourage reporting of any suspicious activities via official channels or hotlines 80084 and 600590000. Additionally, the ministry advises verifying the credibility of service providers on social media before making any agreements.
## Regulatory Framework
The recruitment of domestic workers in the UAE is governed by specific legal frameworks aimed at safeguarding the rights of both workers and employers. Regular inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with these regulations.
