## Arrest in Kerala

A 59-year-old woman from Vadakara, Kozhikode district, Kerala, has been arrested for allegedly deceiving 51 individuals with false promises of jobs in Oman. The accused, identified as L.S., reportedly collected money from job seekers for visa processing and related expenses.

## Victims and Investigation

The police investigation began after a complaint from a young man from Arattuthara, near Mananthavady. He claimed to have paid Rs65,000 in January 2025 for a job offer that never materialized. In total, 51 victims have been identified, with some paying up to Rs75,000 each.

## Fake Address and Travel

Authorities discovered that the address provided by the accused was fake, and she had traveled to the Gulf after complaints were filed. This led to a lookout notice being issued for her arrest.

## Arrest at Airport

The woman was apprehended at Calicut International Airport upon her return from Muscat. Police believe the number of victims may increase as the investigation continues, with some individuals yet to come forward, hoping the promised jobs might still be arranged.
