Indian and Pakistani riders share one road in UAE, take a joint Independence Day ride

## A Ride for Peace and Brotherhood

In a unique celebration of unity, Indian and Pakistani bikers in the UAE came together for a joint ride marking their respective Independence Days. The event took place on a foggy Sunday morning, starting at a petrol station in Al Warsan and ending near Abu Dhabi. The ride was organized by three clubs: Pakistan Riders Group, Singh’s Motorcycle Club, and SMC Unplugged.

## Celebrating Independence Together

The ride was timed to coincide with Pakistan's Independence Day on August 14 and India's on August 15, both marking 80 years of independence. Indermohan Singh, a retired Navy officer and member of Singh’s Motorcycle Club, emphasized the message of peace and brotherhood, recalling a similar event four years ago.

## A Shared Journey

Gurnam Singh, founder of Singh’s Motorcycle Club, highlighted the inclusivity of their club, which welcomes members from all nationalities. Mirza Khud, founder of Pakistan Riders Group, expressed joy at the collaboration, seeing it as a message of peace and love.

## Personal Stories

Among the riders was Jovitha Joseph, a Pakistani personal trainer who started riding on a 70cc bike in Pakistan and now owns a 700cc bike in Dubai. She shared how biking helps her cope with loneliness and reminds her of her chosen path.

The ride, enveloped in unexpected fog, symbolized the shared journey of these communities, united under the banner "Proud of UAE."
