## Simplifying Government Procedures
Emirates Health Services (EHS) has unveiled the 'Ekram Bundle', a new initiative aimed at streamlining 40 government procedures into a single step. This move is expected to save over 157,000 working hours for users by reducing the need for multiple visits and paperwork.
## Collaborative Effort
Developed in collaboration with 77 federal and local entities, the Ekram Bundle focuses on simplifying processes related to death procedures. It aims to provide a smoother experience for families during challenging times by integrating services into a digital platform.
## Enhancing Service Delivery
Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the UAE's vision of reducing bureaucracy and enhancing service quality. The project supports long-term national goals, including the UAE Centennial 2071, by promoting service excellence.
## Comprehensive Support
The bundle includes services such as death notification, issuance of death certificates, and burial permits. It also covers condolence arrangements, pension entitlements, and logistical support, all accessible through a unified platform.
## Future Expansion
Currently available to citizens, residents, and visitors, there are plans to extend the service to cover Emirati citizens who pass away abroad. EHS is committed to continuous improvement, with weekly progress reports and a clear implementation plan in place.
## A Model for Integrated Government Work
EHS describes the Ekram Bundle as a model of integrated government work, combining efficiency with compassion. Officials suggest that similar service models may be introduced in other areas to further enhance customer experiences across the UAE.
