Marvel Studios has unveiled the cast for its upcoming 'X-Men' reboot, set for release on May 5, 2028. The announcement was made during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 in Anaheim, California.

## Key Cast Members

Sadie Sink will portray Jean Grey, while Adam Driver takes on the role of the villain Mister Sinister, also known as Nathaniel Milbury. Other cast members include Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Christopher Abbott as Professor X.

## Direction and Production

The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, known for his work on Marvel Studios’ 'Thunderbolts'. This marks the first standalone X-Men film under Marvel Studios since Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox.

## Return of the Mutants

The X-Men characters have been gradually reintroduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with appearances in recent projects like 'Deadpool & Wolverine' and the animated series 'X-Men ‘97'. Former Fox X-Men stars, including Patrick Stewart and Kelsey Grammer, have also made appearances in the MCU.

## Future Appearances

Several former X-Men actors are expected to return in 'Avengers: Doomsday', scheduled for release on December 18. This includes Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto, among others.
